Romarte Niagara – an Ontario 150 Celebration

The Romanian Traditional Arts and Crafts have always been at the core of the Romanian culture and, through waves of immigration, became part of the diverse fabric of the Canadian culture for generations.

Proud of their heritage, The Romanian Community of Niagara is inviting Ontarians, local residents and visitors of the Niagara Region to join them for a full day of celebration through art.

A series of hands-on workshops including pottery making and decoration, clay sculpture, painting on glass, sewing of Romanian traditional patterns and dancing the unique Romanian “hora”, will not only bring the community together, but it will, for sure, delight and inspire all the participants.

They can also expect a rich and colorful display of Romanian traditional costumes and art pieces, as well as an exhibition of photography portraying Romanian history and culture in Canada.

All in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere with folk music and dance.

Entrance/participation fees applicable.

Volunteers are welcome. If interested, please scroll down to fill in the form.
